Friday Updates – February 26, 2016

As our school continues to grow we must, inevitably change. On March 1st, 2016 we will be transitioning from this blog to a new website. You will find our new  website at http://www.arcoirisschool.org, once the new site is up and running. A sneak peak of the new website can be found at the bottom of this post. Until then you can continue to find information though this blog.

Community Update:

Science and Engineering Fair Next Thursday!
Students will bring home reminders about the Fair today. This is the last weekend to finish up projects and presentations.

The Science Fair will be held in the gym from 5:00-7:00 pm, Thursday, March 3.

Student projects will be reviewed by attendees during the following times:
5:30-6:00: Grades 1-3 and Middle School
6:10-6:40: Grades 4-5
Students should be standing at with their project at the designated time. Parents and friends will come around to interview students and provide feedback. We hope that every student will have the chance to be interviewed at least once. It’s important that the student stay at their project for the duration of their assigned time.

PIZZA! The PTO will be selling pizza from 4:45pm until 6:00pm in the cafeteria. The LEGO Robotics Club will have projects on display in the science room so be sure to stop by and see their work.

See you Thursday night!

OBOB:
Congratulations to the Oregon Battle Of Books (OBOB) teams representing Arco Iris at regionals on March 5th! The OBOB Olympians will represent the 3-5 division and the Indorsians will represent the 6-8 division. Good luck to both teams!
