Pennies for Patients!

LLSPennies_CR2This week Arco Iris will be holding the 3rd annual Pennies for Patients drive supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

To kick off our fundraising, on Monday, February 23rd, will be a free dress day to all students who bring $1 to donate!

All week 8th grader Caitlynn Lee, who is organizing our Pennies for Patients drive this year, will have a table set up with a candy jar. For $0.25, students can guess how many candies are in the jar. The winning student gets the total money raised towards their classroom for the classroom competition, as well as a jar of candy.

Monday students will also be receiving individual banks which they can take home to collect donations. Students can bring the banks back each day to deposit the money in their classroom bank. The class which brings in the most money for the classroom competition gets lunch brought in from Olive Garden later in the spring!

In addition to bringing in money, you can donate online at:

Click on the link that says “See the School Arco Iris Spanish Immer School” below the Donate Now button, and donate directly to your student’s class for the competition.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Last year Arco Iris raised over $1600 for LLS. Let’s continue to show we care!
