The Arco Iris Student Council is excited to kick off the their Pennies for Patients fundraiser supporting the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society this week. We’ll be starting with two fun activities.
1. Guess How Much – for $0.25 students can guess how much money is in a jar full of coins. The amount goes towards the classroom total of the winning guess. At the end of our Pennies for Patients drive, whichever class has brought in the most money will get a lunch catered by Olive Garden. We will start our official classroom contest the week of 3/10 – 3/12, so please don’t send in money for your student’s classroom until next week.
2. Free Dress for the Patients – This Thursday, March 6th, students will be able to free dress if they donate $1 towards our fundraiser.
According to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Pennies for Patients program – “In the past 16 years these kids have shown how powerful they can be by raising more than $233 million to fund breakthrough therapies and patient services. Kids learn not only about the impact they can have, but they learn about leadership, and what ‘doing good’ for others can mean.”
Our students would like to raise $2000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society this year, and with your support (and spare change) we know we can do it!
