Art and Science Collide

Dan Ayles, our parent volunteer art teacher, recently taught students about primary, secondary and tertiary colors. Ask your 1st-4th grade student about the color wheel! Even better, try this activity posted on the Science Friday webpage.

If the inclement weather has you home bound and without colored cellophane try the simulation from PhET. Change the color of the light bulb and the color of the filters and see what color is “perceived” by the brain. It is so cool to see the link between art and science.
