New student enrollment continues through February 6th. Please see our enrollment page for the online application form. This applies to all new students wanting to enroll for fall, including siblings of current students.
Enrollment for current students – To secure your spot for next school year, we need the letter of commitment (blue paper) that was sent out last week. We had all our students check their backpacks yesterday and we found more than 30! If you need a copy see the attached document – Letter of Commitment please print and sign and turn in to your teacher or the office.
Planning for the Arco Iris 4th Annual Fiesta Night and Auction featuring the country of PANAMA is well underway. Every year the Arco Iris PTO hosts a fantastic party to celebrate our students, school, and community, and at the same time, we raise funds for the continued success of our school. This year, the party is on Saturday, April 12th and our goal for the auction this year is to raise $65,000 – which is about $375 per student. Every year we hear people say, “I had no idea it would be such a fun night, I’m so glad we came.” Tickets go on sale the beginning of March! We also need your help planning the event. Please see our attached flier for the latest updates. Auction info Jan 2014

Science & Engineering Fair Project Plans are Underway! Has your student selected a project? There is still time to come up with a great idea. Students can choose to use the scientific method or engineering design process to explore a topic of interest to them. Follow the links on the Science & Engineering Fair webpage to access more than 1,000 project ideas and other resources!
Remember, participation is required for students in grades 4 and higher, and optional (and encouraged!) for grades 1-3. Project proposals are due by Friday, January 24.
Family Restaurant Nights are back! Plan to take a night off from making dinner on January 28th and join us at Papa’s Pizza on 158th for our first restaurant night of the new year. Help us show Papa’s Pizza that we appreciate them being an Arco Iris community partner by eating there on the 28th and helping to pump up those sales that they will then be donating a percentage of back to the school. It’s a win-win!
