A quick note from Maestra Nikki – Hola Familias. As you may have heard, Arco Iris students have been fundraising for the Ameena Project. The Ameena Project is a non-profit organization that helps feed and school needy children in Kenya. To educate our community about this program, Caitlynn and Claire interviewed the program’s co-founder, Anne May. This is the podcast they recorded. I’m so proud of these girls for all of the work they’ve put into this fundraising campaign. Enjoy!

Consejo de padres Updates
We are gathering volunteers for this relocation of Arco Iris this summer. This is a great opportunity to join together and ready our childrens school for the next year. There are all sorts of tasks before us and we can use your help. If you would like to be on this summers volunteer list, you can sign up via the link below if you missed the sign-ups at the school. If you have limited availably or are unsure of your summer schedule, that is okay. By signing up you will be kept in the loop of volunteer opportunities. We truly appreciate your time and help and we are excited to work together. Click HERE to join our list.
Two thumbs up and a round of applause for Chris Bliss and Memory Bybee. Not only did they organize a wonderfully fun Suess inspired field day, but were able to roll with the rain and ensure the kiddos still had a fun day of activities when it was moved back to school. Chris and Memory wanted parents know that the parachutes (two small and one large), and the egg and spoon relay games were purchased using the Labels for Education points (thank you for clipping those labels!) and will be available for the classes to use in PE next year. The kiddos were really excited about the large parachutes! We’ll have a blog post next week with pictures.
On Tuesday, June 4, catch Arco Iris siblings Will and Addi Taylo on KPTV as the ‘Start of the Day.’ Will and Addi need to be at the station at 7:45 and will be presenting the weather shortly after. KPTV and Andy Carson donated this experience to our auction. Hopefully their weather report includes smiles and sunshine!
The last Scrip order of the year is due June 7th. Be sure to stock up for the summer and don’t forget to buy Scrip for Restaurant Night at John’s Incredible Pizza! (June 20th 3:30-6:30).
