Friday Updates – April 12 2013

The Arco Iris School Board is looking to round out the board of directors and fill its 7th seat. Applications will be accepted through Friday, April 19th. If you or someone you know would be interested in joining our great team, please see our blog link for further details.

There is a school board meeting Thursday, April 18th at 6:00 pm in the 5th/6th grade classroom. The agenda will be posted early next week on our Board page.

Jan will be presenting an overview of our middle school program next Wednesday, April 17th at 5:30 pm in the 5th/6th grade classroom. Parents and students are welcome to attend!

PTO News

The response to our Third Annual Fiesta Night and Auction ticket sales was Fantastic!  We are completely sold out and look forward to seeing all of you at the Fiesta.

If you are interested, there are still a few slots available for the Parents Night Out being held at Bricks for Kidz during the auction.

Consejo de padres News

Can you believe it is already Spring? There is still a lot of quality learning time left for our students, but planning for next fall has already begun. Stay tuned for announcements about how you can help prepare our new site. We expect to have projects ongoing through the entire summer. There will be something for everyone!

It’s annual survey time! With input from the board and our principal, Consejo de padres has put together the end of year survey and annual evaluations. Parent feedback is an important component of the decision-making process at Arco Iris School. The collective results of the survey help to highlight areas of success and areas in need of more attention. Please take a few minutes to share your feedback. The link to the survey will be in the Friday email from the office. We will also send reminders over the next week.      

All comments will be reviewed by Arco Iris board members and anonymous comments may be shared with the principal and teachers at the Board’s discretion. Reviews and comments are NOT placed in staff permanent files.
