We had a great Open Enrollment period and the response was very positive. Additionally, our return rate for current students is amazing. Thank you for choosing Arco Iris for your children. We are honored to be such a big part of their lives!
We will hold a lottery for enrollment of new students. The date and time for the lottery will be set by the Arco Iris school board. The target is in April after we have details of our new lease finalized. If you have completed an enrollment application for a new student to attend beginning this fall, you will receive an email from us once the school board has selected a date. We will make an announcement here on our blog as well. The lottery will be open to the public, but families do not need to be present.
We need your help! The PTO is in need of someone to take notes and compile minutes for our monthly meetings. This involves coming to the meeting, taking notes on what was said and who said it and then sending us a copy of the minutes so that we can approve and publish them by the next months meeting. The PTO meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 (please note this is a time change). If you are able to help us out please contact Christy Olson or at PTO.
Science Fair Volunteers Wanted! Arco Iris students are in the beginning stages of working on their Science Fair projects. The Science Fair will be at school on Thursday, March 14th from 6:00-7:00 PM. The entire Arco Iris School Community is invited to explore and learn from our scientists in training. Volunteers are needed to “judge” the Science Fair projects during the Science Fair. Please email Christie Engesser Cesar if you are interested in helping or if you have questions.
Dinner options are available for Science Fair night. Big O’s Pizza will be available to purchase before and during the beginning of the science fair. Come enjoy a slice and learn a little from our budding scientists. We’ll have Big O’s pizza available for sale approximately 5:00-6:30.
Classroom Baskets for the Auction. The Arco Iris 3rd Annual Fiesta Night and Auction, to be held on April 27th at the Rock Creek Country Club, is quickly approaching! In addition to attending and bringing friends and family to this fun-filled event, you can help us meet our fundraising goal by donating items to create packages to auction off to the highest bidder. This year we are asking each classroom to donate a themed basket. Classes have been assigned individual themes and families are encouraged to bring in a donation that fits within their classroom(s) theme:

- Maestra Hayley – Let’s Get Physical Activity Basket

Bins will be left outside each classroom during pickup time from February 25 to March 8 so that donations can be collected. Detailed request letters will be sent home with your child today.
