Friday Updates – December 14 2012

School Board News

Planning Commission approves Land Use Application! By a vote of 6 to 1, the City of Beaverton Planning Commission approved our application for a conditional use permit that will allow us to move into the Beaverton Christian Church. A 12-day appeal period will end on December 24th. If no one raises any concerns by that time, then the decision will be final.

Thank you to everyone who signed the school’s petition and for those who attended the Planning Commission meeting. Every little bit of support helped our cause!

School Board Meeting – Our next school board meeting is set for Thursday, December 20th at 6:00 pm. Agenda to be posted on the School Board Meetings page early next week.

New Furniture – You may have noticed the new desks in both our 1st/2nd grade classrooms. Our friends at the German American School gave us a wonderful deal on these desks and chairs as they made room for new furniture. Thanks to all our families that stayed late on a Friday to help load up and move out the old and load/unload the new!
