The First Annual Arco Iris School Jog-A-thon “Caminata Pro-Fondos” will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 from 10:00-10:30 (Grades 3/4) and 10:45-11:15 (Grades 1/2 & 5/6) at Howard Terpenning THPRD (Soccer Field #2). Arco Iris students will run in support of their school for 30 minutes, with the goal of raising at least $15,000 for the school, or $100 per student. Students will have 2 weeks prior to the Jog-a-thon to collect pledges in the form of per lap or flat amount donations and then 10 days after the Jog-A-thon to collect the donations. Information packets and a pledge sheet were sent home with students on Friday, October 5th. Additional copies can be found here (pledge sheet 2012, JogAthon Information). Ask your student about the cool prizes for the most laps run, 100% class participation and the awesome raffle items. A raffle ticket is earned for every $50 in donations submitted by Monday, October 29th. All donations are tax deductible and will help the PTO reach it’s $75,000 fundraising goal for the 2012-13 school year. PTO fundraisers contribute to the school’s general operating fund.
