Arco Iris School will hold our lottery for 2012-2013 enrollment on Monday, June 4th at 6:30 pm at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Our class sizes have been set for 28 students. Returning students receive first priority for enrollment. This is followed by returning student’s siblings. After enrolling returning students and younger siblings, the number of available spaces for new student enrollment was determined.
Our enrollment process fills the highest grade first. For the 2012-2013 academic year, we are adding 6th grade. We enroll 6th grade first, then 5th, then 4th, etc. down through 1st grade.
Due to the number of completed enrollment forms and available spaces for the 6th, 5th, and 4th grades there was not a need to lottery for student placement. Our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades are full due to returing students and sibling priority. We have more applications than spaces for the following grades:
- 3rd grade: 0 spaces available. Lottery for wait list priority.
- 2nd grade: 0 spaces available. Lottery for wait list priority.
- 1st grade: 0 spaces available. Lottery for wait list priority.
The lottery on June 4th will establish wait list priority based on the following:
a. Beaverton School District residency
b. Out of District residency
Arco Iris has spaces available for 4th grade students! These spaces will be filled on a first-come/first-served basis until the spaces are filled, or until classes start on September 4th, 2012. Arco Iris may fill some of these spaces with 3rd grade students beginning in August should we not receive additional 4th grade students to fill a classroom. This decision will be made by the Board of Directors in conjunction with the school’s management team.
You do not need to be present at the lottery to guarantee your child’s space. Your wait list position will be emailed to you after the lottery is completed.
