Just a friendly reminder about school day start time at Arco Iris:
Our classes begin at 8:am, which means we want all students at their desks and ready to learn before that time. Today we had almost 15% of our students arrive after 8:00, and we have noticed that the number of tardy students has been increasing.
Why is an on-time arrival so important for our school? We kick off our day with Singapore math, and many of our students switch classrooms for math instruction. Students arriving late disrupt not one classroom but two (their own classroom and their math classroom). This means one late student can impact almost 50 other students’ learning time plus the teacher’s time to get them caught up with the rest of the class.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
