Holiday gift giving can be a heartwarming and fulfilling experience, on the other hand, endlessly trying to find the perfect gift or even just a parking space at the mall can leave us less than merry. So, please consider participating in a class gift for your teacher and the Arco Iris staff.
Here’s how Teacher/Staff holiday giving works:
On the reverse side of this letter (Holiday Giving Program) is an order form. Fill in the gift dollar amount you would like to designate to a teacher/staff member. Your gift amount will be added to gift amounts given by other families. We will then buy scrip gift cards on behalf of each teacher. The dollar amount of your gift will never be provided to your designated teacher/staff member.
What is scrip?
Scrip is a program where families can pre-purchase gift card to use a participating stores. A portion of the purchases are then returned to the school as a charitable donation. They do not cost you anything to use (i.e you buy a $10 scrip card, you get $10 of merchandise).
If you would like to participate:
1) Fill out the reverse side of the order form and put it in an envelope for your classroom coordinator. The deadline for participating is Monday November 28, 2011. If paying by check, please make your check payable to Arco Iris. If you have more than one child at Arco Iris you’re welcome to fill out one form and attach one check for the total. Please note, if you are making a separate scrip order, this check must be separate from your personal script order check.
2) Now the fun part, your designated staff members will be given a choice of which gift cards they wish to receive and we will give them this gift at the class party in December.
This effortless gift giving program not only economically benefits your school, but for those loving and caring people who safely guide our children through their school day, this is a thoughtful option.
