“The Beaverton School Board learned Monday night that its sole charter school didn’t receive $200,000 in federal funding, that the hole in the general fund is about $2.7 million, and that at least one couple thinks the district should back off its support of the city’s urban renewal district plans.
Arco Iris, a Spanish/English immersion school, opened last year using federal grants to help plan its school and begin operations. This year, the school’s leaders expected to receive phase two of its grant, totaling $200,000.
