Congratulations and welcome to our newly enrolled families for the 2011/2012 school year! This is such an exciting time for our staff and school board at Arco Iris School.
So you may be wondering, what is next?
First – Celebrate! Language immersion requires a leap of faith on the part of parents and our students. We have a wonderful and supportive community of parents and staff, so take comfort your children (and you!) are in great hands.
Second – Return the confirmation form to Stacy as soon as possible. We are making one last check on grade assignments for next year.
Third – Browse this blog and our website for articles on everything from Singapore Math to language immersion. Click the Category Cloud to the right for short lists to related articles. Looking for something in particular and can’t find it, email Deonne Knill at firstname.lastname@example.org or Stacy and we’ll either pull something together for a blog post or point you in the right direction of other articles out there on the web. We are always looking for topics for this blog so please feel free to send ideas!
Fourth – If you are interested in business operations, attend our next school board meeting to listen in on the latest and greatest. Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 20th at 6:pm in the community room.
Fifth – If Spanish is new to you or your child, begin to explore your local library for their favorite books in Spanish! Check out some children’s Spanish CDs.
Finally, you’ll be hearing from us and our classroom volunteer coordinators about upcoming family gathering events. We will also plan on having informal gatherings throughout the summer so our students can meet up and make new friends before next school year begins.
Stay tuned! Congratulations, and again, welcome to our school!
