Arco Iris Jaguares!

Our mascot competition was a huge success! We had over THIRTY mascot entries from our students. Thank you for your participation in this fun event for our school!

We are now the Arco Iris Jaguares!

The jaguar is the third largest feline behind the lion and the tiger. The jaguar’s range extends from the southern United States, throughout Mexico, and into South America as far as Paraguay and northern Argentina.

The jaguar is prominent in the mythology of ancient American cultures, including the Aztecs and Incas.  It has long been a symbol of power and strength. In Mexican culture, the jaguar represents protection. In the time of the Aztecs, there was an army whose symbol was the jaguar, and their duty was to protect the city of Tenochtitlan.

Felicitaciones Jaguares!
